Rocío is a Chilean photographer based in Madrid since 2019.

Her work, with an intimate and timeless spirit, relies on analog photography and a construction of light deeply linked to the cinematographic language.



She studied photography at ARCOS University (Chile), where she was trained in traditional photographic techniques. Later she specialized in wet collodion at Penumbra Foundation in New York (2017) and in alternative processes such as cyanotype (2018). Between 2018 and 2020 she taught fashion photography workshops at FotoDesign (Chile) and alternative techniques at the Centro Cultural de Artes Mixtas in Guadalajara, Spain.



Her social facet has led her to collaborate in charity campaigns for organizations such as Patronato de la Infancia and Acción contra el Hambre.

In 2021, her work was exhibited in different cultural spaces in Spain as part of the CaixaForum Cultural Center program.

 She has published in media such as Vogue, ID and Forbes, worked for brands such as Nike and JACQUEMUS, and collaborated with musicians from labels such as Universal and Sony Music.

Her personal work has been exhibited in fairs and galleries in Chile, Germany and Spain, and is part of art books such as The Age of Collage (Gestalten).

 In 2019 she launched HELADOS, her first book in photo-postcard format, published by Metalibro publishing house.
 In 2022 she presented her first photobook, ROCIO [2008-2022], published by Paripé Books, in venues such as La Fábrica and PhotoEspaña in Madrid.




She currently combines her work in fashion and advertising with the production of personal work, exploring themes of identity, memory and nostalgia.
